Industry experts in Shanghai are looking forward to the transformation of the eyewear industry brought by AI, claiming that it will achieve multiple breakthrough functions. On February 21st, during the China (Shanghai) International Eyewear Industry Exhibition, Qi Bei, vice chairman of the China Eyewear Association, made a forecast on the integrated development of AI and the eyewear industry. He said that the deep integration of AI and the eyewear industry will achieve many breakthrough functions, such as correcting strabismus and enabling lenses to have the functions of telescopes or microscopes. Wu Xiaoxu, the general manager of Hongxudesheng Technology, also pointed out that AI can serve as an efficient assistant for enterprises in research and development and office work. It can optimize lens design by analyzing eye data. In the future, optometers may be able to complete precise optometry and lens fitting with just a tablet computer, driving the industry to bid farewell to the traditional lens fitting standards that have been in use for over 180 years.
